Assam Agri-business and Rural Transformation Project (APART) has launched ‘Kshyamata’ to promote Agri Enterprises in Assam. This initiative will enable the youth, existing Agri enterprises and start-ups in Agri and allied sector, thus, creating a vibrant agribusiness ecosystem in Assam.
The program aims to support 1300 Agri enterprises, both new and existing Agri enterprises and facilitate their growth and expansion through technical assistance and integrated business support services thus increasing the sustainability of an early-stage enterprise.
The program would facilitate establishment and growth of Agri enterprises through different services (business development, technology access, experts and continuous handholding) while emphasizing building capacity, facilitating access to market, access to finance through convergence with various government schemes.
• Agricultural Production, Post Harvest and value addition/processing
• Appropriate technology and agribusiness models ready for scale-up/ commercialization/investments e.g. irrigation, storage, cultivation
• Agriculture services:
• ICT in agriculture and agribusiness sector
• Providing farm services through agro entrepreneurs (Agri Clinics & Agri. Business centres) including custom hiring of services, for:
• Any other relevant area category of Agri Enterprises
Eligibility Criteria:
Entrepreneurs who have an idea in the Agri & Allied sector/food processing sector/ or have received training in the sector.
Entrepreneurs wanting to start an agribusiness with strong growth potential will be preferred in the selection process.
Individuals/ entrepreneurs having professional experience and education and can demonstrate technical expertise
Preference will be given to entrepreneurs having an active Bank Account
Enterprises existing agribusiness/ food processing enterprise and are looking to scale.
Enterprises looking to raise no more than One crore (1 cr) within 6-8 months.
Preference will be given to enterprises having a registered entity
Enterprise business scope, function, and activities falling within the purview of the program.
